The second Pradosh fast of Kartik month will be kept on Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha. Pradosh fast is very dear to Lord Shiva. It is said that Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati should be worshiped after fasting Pradosh to please them soon. This time Pradosh fast being on Tuesday, it will be called Bhaum Pradosh fast. Blessings of Lord Shiva, as well as Hanuman Ji, can be obtained on the day of Bhaum Pradosh Vrat. It is believed that Lord Shiva is pleased with fasting on this day and showers blessings on the devotees. Not only this, by removing all the troubles of the devotees, they fulfill all their wishes. Along with observing fast on this day, one can get rid of debt by taking some measures.

Significance of Pradosh Vrat

To please Lord Shiva soon, it is advisable to observe Pradosh fast and monthly Shivaratri fast and worship, etc. It is believed that both of these are very dear to Bholeshankar, so devotees keep this fast and please Lord Shiva. According to religious beliefs, keeping Pradosh Vrat with rules and integrity destroys the sufferings of a person. At the same time, the blessings of Hanuman Ji are also obtained by observing Pradosh fast on Tuesday. By doing worship on that day, Mars becomes strong in the horoscope, and happiness and prosperity remain in the house.

Why celebrate Pradosh Vrat?

According to mythology, Chandra's marriage was concluded with 27 Nakshatra girls of Daksha Prajapati. Chandra and Rohini were very beautiful and seeing Chandra's more affection for Rohini, the remaining girls expressed their grief to their father Daksha. Daksha was angry by nature and in anger, he cursed Chandra that they will suffer from tuberculosis. Gradually, Chandra started suffering from tuberculosis and his arts began to deteriorate. Naradji asked them to worship Mrityunjay Lord Ashutosh, after that both of them worshiped Lord Ashutosh. Chandra was counting his last breaths (Last Ekdhari of Moon) that Lord Shankar had given Chandra the boon of resurrection during Pradosh Kaal and held him on his head, that is, even though Chandra was like death, he did not die. Again, gradually the moon started recovering and appeared like a full moon on the full moon. The 'dosh in Pradosh' was that Chandra was suffering from tuberculosis and was suffering death-like sufferings. 'Pradosh Vrat' is also done because Lord Shiva removed that defect and gave him life again, so we should worship that Shiva who wore the moon who had reached death on his head.
